Traditional Indigenous Herbalism

Visit the Talamancan village of Cachabri, and the Awa, or medicine man, of the Bri Bri people, Ricardo Morales. Ricardo will offer a medicinal plant walk in the rainforest and an introduction to their village practices and traditional Indigenous herbalism.
We will also visit Timoteo Jackson and witness their powerful theatre performance about colonization and discuss the relationship between cultural survival and botanical medicine.
Leaving Puerto Viejo at 8:30 am and returning approximately 6 pm. Includes traditional lunch and dinner, served fresh in a banana leaf plate.
