Traditional Indigenous Medicine

Visit the Talamancan village of Cachabri, and the Awa, or medicine man, of the Bri Bri people, Ricardo Morales. Ricardo will offer a small ceremony and explain their complex approach to health and healing. We will also visit Timoteo Jackson and his family, whose approach to community healing includes decolonization, youth work, theater, dance and sacred song.
Leaving Puerto Viejo at 9 am and returning approximately 5 pm. Includes a traditional lunch, served in a leaf at the village.
